Good Evening!
This spring, the OPRA Conference will once again feature a variety of tracks, including the standard Policy (CEO/COO), Program Directors, DSP, and HR series, with Business, Employment, and Health Care appearing as featured tracks. All sessions in all tracks at the Conference successfully begin, progress, and end with the guidance of Moderators. These helpful individuals assist by aiding the speakers, making announcements to session attendees, distributing CEU sign-in sheets, taking session counts, etc. Their contributions of time, organizational and management skills, and - most important! - friendliness greatly impacts the impression the Conference imparts.
I am reaching out directly to you to ask you for your help: please volunteer to be a Moderator! The job is very easy and process-oriented, but super essential! I’ve attached the “grid” so you can see what the tracks and sessions are, and which are already spoken for (thank you!). It makes sense that you would want to moderate sessions within a track that’s your area of expertise – but any open session is up for grabs! I’ve also attached the Moderator Instructions, to help you get an idea of what’s involved.
Please email me directly if you would like to be involved with the Conference in this way – and when you register as an attendee (which you can do right here!), please indicate at the end of the form that you’re interested in moderating, so we’ll be doubly-sure!
Thank you so very much!
Emily
P.S. There aren’t any perks for carrying out this essential role – other than the gratitude of OPRA staff, the pleasure of attendees and speakers enjoying smooth-running sessions, and a well-deserved warm inner glow.
