Rules have been drafted and shared with OPRA. They are back at DODD for some additional work. DODD hopes to release them for public comment in December. They will need to go through the clearance process and should go into effect sometime in the first quarter of 2012, barring any hold up. THey were under review of the state and due to be implemented soon. It will give private providers a different requirement (lots less training) than the guidelines that are currently in effect. I haven't heard anything recently from Anita on when they are due to take effect....it will save hundreds of dollars in yearly training cost for private provider.
