One of the problems we are having is Licensure challenging the validity of an out of state GED. They want us to detail our process for validating such GED Certificates, but they give no guidance on what is acceptable? I can only imagine what they want us to do to validate out of Country documents. I have no problem having a process in place for validity, but tell us what an acceptable process is and what isn't.
As Than said, with our work force issues, this is the time we either need to stick to what the regulation says, throw it out, get more clarification and if not then let’s not make up rules. We all know it’s hard enough without that.

Good morning. We are hearing that DODD is issuing citations regarding GED’s that aren’t “singed off on” by the Ohio Department of Education (which is not a rule requirement). Has anyone experienced this or any other issue with GEDs/HS diplomas during reviews?
