Join us Monday, March 16th from 10:00-2:00 for our monthly OPRA Policy and Program Directors meeting!! Given that we are not just in mid-budget season but also in the midst of incredible systemic transition we have another packed and diverse agenda for you.

10:00-10:30--Budget Update

10:30-11:30--Developmental Center Closures--Ginnie Whisman, DODD --Ginnie will join us to talk about the announced closure of Montgomery and Youngstown Developmental Centers. Closure will require the active participation and partnership of private providers. Ginnie will walk through the anticipated process and timelines and talk through ways we can assist.

11:45-12:45--Ohio Shared Living--Chris Kristanich, Caregiver Homes, Buffie LaBelle, The Mentor Network (REM)--Chris and Buffie will provide training for providers interested in becoming Shared Living Providers. Shared Living (Adult Foster Care) is receiving increased emphasis as a preferred model of service. Private provider capacity is essential as we move forward. 1:00-2:00--Converting from ICF to waiver--Cheryl Craver, Our Lady of The Wayside, John Swanson, Echoing Hills. Cheryl and John will present on their agencies experiences with conversion. Join us for our initial training on the process. On converting from ICF to waiver. Cheryl and  John will discuss the planning and execution of conversion. Including individual experience. And lessons learned.

Because we have such diverse topics  you are welcome to join only for those presentations that interest you the most. We will attempt to keep to the time slots ouptlined above so that you may schedule as best meets your needs. You can also join by video-conference at any time you wish.
