Good Afternoon Members,
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities is presenting their budget testimony next Wednesday in front of the House Finance Subcommittee on Health and Human Services. If you provide OOD services and would like to submit testimony on OOD's budget initiatives, you can do so next week. For your convenience, I have attached a template you can use for written testimony. The draft includes places within the template where we ask you to customize the testimony to reflect the services your agency provides. It is important you add this customization before submitting the testimony.

How to provide written testimony to the House Finance Sub-Committee on Health and Human Services:

  1.  Use the attached word document as a template.
  2.  Make sure to submit testimony on your agency's letterhead.
  3.  Submit a witness slip (attached). I have already partially filled out the slip so all you have to do is fill in the remaining boxes.
  4.  The schedule for testimony next week is: Wednesday, Feb. 22nd at 10:00am
  5.  Testimony must be submitted 24 hours before a hearing. So testimony must be submitted not later than Tuesday at 10am.
  6.  Send a copy of your testimony and witness slip to the email financesubhealth&humanservicescommittee@ohiohouse.gov<mailto:financesubhealth&humanservicescommittee@ohiohouse.gov>
  7.  Let Christine know when you submit testimony so we can track of Member advocacy.
