We revised our training outlines and made sure the training topics match word for word what is in rule to avoid any misunderstanding with topic categories. We use the OACB online 8-hour training course 116 which includes "An overview of basic principles and requirements of providing home and community-based waiver services". When we had our provider certification review last year they noted that they liked that our training topics were easy to find.

We received the same citation. Now we have included it on our new hire checklist of trainings to provide documentation that they were trained. We briefly review the types of waivers, what they mean, where they come from etc. yearly with all staff and during orientation with new staff. We don't usually devote more than 10 minutes to the subject

We recently had a provider review conducted by Office of Provider Standards & Review. The only citation received was for not providing an "overview of waiver service". A lot of our training we touch on the different waiver services, but since we did not list this specific topic on our training forms, we received a citation. Anyone else ever receive a citation for this?
If, not how do you cover this topic with new staff?
