We have experimented with a few video-conferenced “virtual vacations” for residents in some group homes since they are all on stay-at-home orders but still want to travel! We use video conferencing to connect with often mulitple group homes at a pre-determined time of your choosing, then give a Keynote (similar to PowerPoint) slide presentation of one destination, eg Orlando, Hawaii, Nashville, Yellowstone—all gathered from our real vacation tours there—and end with a Kahoots quiz time (optional) for players to participate in. Total time is about 45 minutes. It is a great way to join Ohio residents together to dream about vacation when restrictions are loosened!
