Hey all.  In my opinion, the most important thing is that you are working on a plan. Short-term, long-term, worst case scenarios.  What if’s.   Staffing patterns, quarantined homes vs non, your emergency communication team and what are their responsibilities.   Staffing messaging, etc.

Opra will collect those and then we can learn from each other what is missing from our plans.

It is up to providers to show the way. Keep this situation at the forefront.  We are smart professionals and we know our clients, staff, and systems.

We are in this together.

Sharing plans is also so important for Opra to know, so to gauge their regulatory advocacy toward Dodd. What will be needed to make our plans work kind of thing.

No plan is bad, it just may need to be modified and expanded.  Don’t beat yourself up, just plan.

So this will include eliminating outings, day program, visitors etc, if the team deems it necessary for that person's health and safety.  I also think your county/city's particular situation comes in to play when making any decisions.

I am taking it in 30 day increments.  As we get more information, we will continue to make inform decisions solely based on the health and safety of our folks while continuing to update/educate/train our staff.

We also implemented training on the virus, hand-washing, signs and symptoms, an updated/thorough cleaning list that will be completed often throughout the day.

What about those without nurses on site, health assessments, at least temperatures of our individuals before they leave for work?

  *   We will be using the guidelines from the CDC to consider if we should cancel any planned large gatherings

  *   In all of this I am very concerned about the many changes in client service plans/schedules and meeting all the compliance expectations for services.

We understand that this is a quickly evolving reality and we will need to adjust as we go.

Can you share some of the plans implemented.  We are currently creating a plan ourselves as well.

We were also wondering if it will be okay to be able to move clients to one location if a lot of our staff find themselves in a situation were they can't come to work because of being sick.    We just don't know if it will be something allow by the state laws.

It was a tuff exercise for sure.
