Dear OPRA Members,
After an exhausting search and interview process, on behalf of the OPRA Board of Directors, it is with much pleasure that I announce that our new President/CEO of OPRA is Peter J. Moore.
We will be sending out a formal announcement to the membership and broader community on Monday about Pete’s appointment, but I wanted to let the membership know right away.
Here’s a little information about Pete that you should know: Over the past 25+ years Pete has dedicated to improving the lives of people with IDD and the
front-line professionals who serve them. His experience in the IDD system is diverse and has included working as a DSP, Case Manager, Director of Adult Services, Behavior Support Consultant for the State of Ohio, Chief of Staff for the Ohio Association of County Boards and an Administrator for ICF facilities. He is the co-founder of the Good Life Network.
Pete is recognized by his peers for his abilities to exude principled leadership, build strong relationships, provide exceptional training and tackle complex problems with passion. Pete has a Master of Arts in Counseling from Heidelberg University and a BA from the University of Pittsburgh.
We are confident that Pete will do an excellent job heading up our great trade association and he has committed to me that within his first year he will reach out/visit each of our members, so to gain your confidence.
More detailed information about Pete will be sent out on Monday along with a photo and quotes.
Thanks to the hard work by the OPRA staff and Board during this transition.
