The Ohio Department of Medicaid has published the Technical Specifications and Business Requirements for electronic visit verification (EVV) alternate vendor systems for Phase 2 providers. If your agency is planning on using an alternate vendor instead of the Ohio Department of Medicaid Sandata system, the alternate vendor system must follow these requirements and go through the Alternate Vendor EVV Certification process. You can read more about the alternate vendor process here and here- remember only Phase 2 information applies to eligible DODD services (unit-based homemaker/personal care and nursing services).
