Good Morning Members!!

Happy National DSP Recognition Week! We hope you have lots of fun things planned for your DSPs! We would greatly appreciate it if you would share with us some of the fun things you have planned for this week to celebrate. We hope to collect all your amazing ideas and share them in our next edition of Round Up and share them to our Facebook page. If you are posting to Facebook, just tag us @Ohio Provider Resource Association and I will see it.

Yesterday we received an email from Member SHC/The Arc of Medina County detailing the important work DSPs do every day!

What is a DSP? Direct support professionals, or DSPs, ensure people with disabilities have the necessary supports that enable them to live, work, and enjoy life as independently as possible in their community. DSPs can work in a number of different settings and often have opportunities to share their own passions and talents with the people they support. They assist individuals with many tasks including but not limited to helping individuals get ready in the morning, take medication, go to find work or participate in social activities and often offer transportation in their own vehicle.

As we celebrate the accomplishments of these dedicated professionals, we ask that you join in spreading the word about these fantastic DSPs.”

Can’t wait to hear what everyone has planned!

Thank you,

Christine
