Hello.  The OPRA Work Group for Quality Incentive(s) for Workforce Initiatives had our first meeting today.  We discussed possible workforce initiatives that might qualify a provider for a workforce quality incentive payment.  We had an impressive list of work group initiatives that the work group members already have in place.  Our thinking is to incentivize what we believe is best practice, can be implemented by providers of any size and are consistent with the 6 other guidelines below.  To help inform our conversation, please take a couple of minutes to complete this two question survey:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/XZD7YY5

The work group is on a tight timeframe, so please complete the survey by COB, Wednesday, August 22nd.  Any questions, please contact me directly at mdavis@opra.org.

Thanks!

Subject: Workforce Initiative Quality Incentive

Good evening.  DODD is interested in ideas on a quality incentive(s) for providers who have certain workforce initiatives in place.  We may include such an incentive(s) in our state budget ask for next year.

We have developed some general guidelines for possible incentive(s), that they should be:

1.     achievable

2.     within the control of the provider

3.     measurable

4.     impactful on quality

5.     directed primarily for use with DSP’s

6.     easily reported so as to not add administrative burden to the provider or others.

The incentive(s) would be paid to providers who have a certain workforce initiative(s) in place.

I need help from you, to propose and vet possible incentive(s).  If you are willing to participate in an initial call about Monday at 3, please contact me directly at mdavis@opra.org.  I will send you a calendar invite with contact information for the call.

Thanks.
