Hi everyone. It’s that time again! Below are instructions for our 2018 salary survey. Please note that we will send out the Benefits portion during the summer. By cutting down the time it takes to complete this , we hope to significantly increase the response rate. Please select one person from you agency to be “in charge” of this. We ask that you have this back by February 28th. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you have questions.

 

 


The 2018 Compensation and Benefits Survey follows.  Please review the instructions

 

 

for completion and submission of the survey prior to working on it. Based on member

 

 

feedback, some modifications have been made to the previous surveys including:

1.       Dividing the survey into two parts and distributing to members at two separate times during the year  (February for the Salary Section and July for the Benefits Section) in hopes of improving

Response rates by minimizing labor requirements for completing the survey.

2.       Shortening the survey as appropriate to ensure members and OPRA have access to needed salary

and benefits information.

 

 

 

 

 

Prior surveys have been well received by our members. The results of the 2018 survey

 

 

will be used in multiple ways including OPRA's lobbying and education initiatives with

 

 

legislators and state departments and your organization's internal benchmarking of

 

 

of pay, benefits and turnover with other OPRA members.

 

 

 

 

 

Issues of salaries/pay rates, employee  turnover and recruitment remain critical, in

 

 

light of Ohio’s downsizing  and system re-alignment efforts.  Therefore, we encourage

 

 

all OPRA members to participate in the survey.
