Hello OPRA Members,

This week the State NMT workgroup met and discussed the attached proposal for combining NMT and HPC transportation into a single service. This proposal (which should be called a pre-proposal this early on), is only in the very early stages and has not yet been analyzed for impact on individuals served, counties boards, the state, and only very preliminarily for impact on providers.

Attached, you will find the “pre-proposal” document with my notes in red. You will also find a cost analysis worksheet that begins to breakdown the impact on providers (note: cell L10 is not yet updated to represent the cost of using large vans).

If all goes as planned, this proposal will be discussed by the OPRA NMT group in January, and again by the State NMT group in February.

I will keep you all updated as further information becomes available.  Anything resulting from the State NMT committee will likely go into effect in 2019 at the earliest, and more realistically not until 2020 or later.

Please feel free to email me at lmathis@opra.org or call me at 614-224-6772 with any comments and solutions.

Respectfully,

Lisa
