Welcome to the February 2017 edition of the OADSP e-flash newsletter. In January we met with members of the DSP and Supervisor Council and started planning
for the OADSP Summit, scheduled for May 16th, 2017. Registration opens next week. We also picked the theme for the 2017 DSP Event (9/13/17), which will be revealed at the Summit. Registration for the Ohio Leadership LAUNCHpad is open and promises to be a unique
leadership retreat experience that allows participants to fully immerse themselves in the culture of leadership with like-minded people. As I prepare this e-flash it is hard to believe that is a balmy 74F outside - enjoy!

In 2015 OPRA and OADSP Partnered to expose high school juniors and seniors to the field of developmental disabilities through the C3P (O) program. This is
a program that combines classroom education (through OADSP's Credentialing Program, DSPATHS) & a year long internship program, culminating with the students developing a portfolio that demonstrates their ability in a variety of DSP competency areas, and earning
a credential upon the successful completion of the course.

With all friends there are ups and downs but true friends show compassion and forgiveness for each other. It has taken me a while to realize that I deserve
the best. We all do, don't we? I have some friends that “have my back” no matter what. That is true friendship I think.
