I understand this as only one 180 stay per individual in his/her lifetime?

 

 

Attached is information regarding free 180 day voluntary stays at developmental centers. The agreement between the county board and DODD has been modified to make this option more financially feasible. This may broaden the possibility for crisis stabilization services for those you serve.

The Division of Residential Resources has made a change to voluntary Developmental Center admissions using County Board funded agreements.  This change is a result of a proposal from the Ohio Association of County Boards and negotiations with other stakeholders.  Since this change is effective January 1, 2017, if a County Board has admitted someone to a Developmental Center since that time, the Developmental Center Superintendent will contact you prior to January 31 to determine if you would like to utilize this new option for the individual admitted after January 1, 2017.  If you want to use this option, you will be asked to sign a new individual admission agreement letter.  If you have questions, please contact me, Sara Lawson or the Developmental Center Superintendent in your catchment area.  Thank you.
