Jeff,
I appreciate your work on this in pulling together this proposal. I would also like to see as an outcome the development of a “branded” word, image, that would be synonymous with the DSP workplace opportunities.
I would assume it would come through the mass media blitz and the work the marketing folks would do for us in the development of these commercials and billboards.
Great job, I appreciate you carrying the torch on this matter.
Mark

Subject: Recruiting a Direct Support Workforce- Request for Funding-Statewide Marketing Plan
Hello all:
Attached is OPRA’s request sent to the Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council for funding for a statewide marketing plan to assist providers in recruiting a direct support workforce. The ultimate goal is to
put Ohio’s DD system on the radar screen for potential job seekers. To let them know who we are, what we do, who we serve and the meaningful work opportunities that exist with the potential for a rewarding career.
We will keep you informed of progress. If Council proves amenable to granting us funds for this purpose then the critical elements of creating the message come next. We will welcome and need your involvement.
Thank you.
Jeff
