The DOL OT Exemption Rule — ANCOR’s Campaign Kick Off

Wednesday, December 9, 2015
2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Eastern

In July 2015, the U.S. Department of Labor published a proposed rule entitled, “Defining and Delimiting the Exemptions for Executive, Administrative, Professional, Outside Sales and Computer Employees.” As ANCOR members know, we have analyzed the rule, surveyed fiscal impact to the provider community, and submitted comments urging the DOL to lower the proposed threshold from the 40th% to the 15th%.

The impact of this rule to virtually 100% Medicaid dependent providers — coming on top of an extraordinary array of other unfunded federal mandates — will create significant operational challenges and make providing critical services to people with disabilities increasingly difficult, and in many cases, financially impossible. That’s why the ANCOR Board of Directors has dedicated significant financial resources to support a multi-pronged lobbying campaign to influence the final rule.

Please join us for a briefing to introduce you to our Campaign Team, solicit your feedback, and hear how you can help. The briefing will cover the specific steps we are taking to:

  • Communicate the enormity of this challenge to the DOL, CMS, DOJ, the White House, members of Congress, state government officials, and the general public,
  • Lay the groundwork for financial relief for IDD providers, and
  • Reach out to our members throughout 2016 for focused grassroots and media outreach.

You don't want to miss this members-only call.
