Deb,

Just for your eyes only. This is what concerns me regarding what VFA members are missing out on by not being involved in OPRA, as a larger representative organization. None of us as providers has the time or expertise to review, interpret and communicate changes that are important to all of us but are so buried in the bureaucracy we would never know about. Even a part time executive will not be able to accomplish this, depending upon what level of expertise and amount of time we can afford to pay for. That is one of the biggest weaknesses we face and the biggest threat to the future of our members. Besides the faith component, it sometimes seems like we have carved our purpose based upon a single issue of ICF reimbursement rate strategies and are missing out on other information important to members future.

Just some thoughts after last week's meeting. Any communication with Mark or Pete yet?

Anita and OPRA members,

It is obvious that particularly Anita and MANY staff/members of OPRA are putting an incredulous amount of time and energy into the revision of all the RULES.  For that, The Home Farms is EXTREMELY grateful.   EXTREMELY.

As a Provider of services, I know this is all VERY important.   As a very small business owner, I have to rely on OPRA members and staff to STEER me to WHAT of these revisions/suggestions/etc. need my direct attention.   There is NO way I can read all the information provided.   I appreciate that it is provided.   BUT, I, for one, will appreciate ANY PARTICULAR POINTS OF CONCERN which I should review.

Again, OPRA, you are well worth the dollars we pay in dues.  Well worth it.

I may be speaking for others, when I ask members and staff to POINT OUT particular items to which I need to pay particular attention.

Onward and hopefully moving forward!

Subject: FW: DODD Rules Clearance - Residential Facilities & Personal Funds

The revised Residential Facility (Licensure) rules and Personal Funds rule have been filed. Although many of our previous concerns (they are attached) have been addressed, there are remaining issues. We will be discussing these at the Program Directors and Policy Committee meetings and gathering your input. We plan to submit testimony. If you are unable to attend these meetings, please feel free to email me your comments.  aallen@opra.org

Thanks.
