As a remote monitoring equipment provider, we have been putting a lot of cameras in homes across the state. Here are some general considerations we have:
· Every installation is different and needs to be treated as such.
· No cameras in bedrooms or bathrooms
· Signage must be placed on the door to advise staff that audio/video monitoring is on site
· Consumer/guardian must consent to having them in place
· System should be designed so that the people being monitored cannot access the system or tamper with it.
· There is an occasional exception to the rule. Those exceptions should be approved by the HR committee
If you’d like to further discuss or need any assistance please let me know. We can help with the system and can bill the waiver directly if that is what the team desires. Here’s a link to our site: http://www.rssmonitoring.com/surveillance-systems.html

Subject: policies on cameras in homes
Is anyone using cameras in their homes to monitor staff? Would you be willing to share any policies you have?
