The rules are being drafted, so we are not aware of the finer details at this point. This is the FMLA expansion, which guarantees sick leave in Coronavirus situations. The first 2 weeks are unpaid. The remaining
10 weeks are paid at 2/3 the regular rate of pay. You will front the money and be reimbursed dollar for dollar via payroll tax credit.

Everything I read looks like we pay for it. The eligibility I worry about the most is that if you have a child home from school you can utilize the same sick leave. Then we get a tax credit for having done so that from my interpretation
in no way begins to make up for the loss. So I am under the impression that we would pay for that and that would be no big deal if there aren’t too many cases should there be a catastrophic outcome with too many cases it could bankrupt agencies Can anyone
tell me if I am misinterpreting this is it possible that we’re going to get an exemption because our work is so similar to healthcare.
