Phone calls and FaceTime are what we encourage, if they insist on taking out of facility we are asking to not bring back individual  until ban is lifted.

Member question below. As always, thanks for any assistance.

 

Some parents/guardians of our ICF’s are asking if they can visit their loved one while standing outside of a window.  How are other agencies handling this?  Are you allowing this and if so, are you permitting the window to be slightly cracked open (ie. an inch) while the parent/guardian stands several feet back so they can speak to their loved one, or are you requiring the window to remain closed during the visit?
