Will this include all services within a building, examples Voc Hab and GES? We as a provider have multiple services within our building. Or will this be addressed at a later time?

Subject: Contract Template for Sharing Employees

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are well.

During yesterday’s member call, we announced that we anticipate that DODD and/or the Governor will close Adult Day Service sites in the coming days.  We have not heard when this announcement will be made but we know it will happen soon.  With this in mind, we are working with DODD, OACB, County Boards and other trade associations to develop a plan on how to help sustain day service providers so we can effectively use your well trained and reliable staff as this situation progresses.  For those of you who offer day services, your facility/building may close but that doesn’t mean your staff have to stop working.

We are trying to make it easy and possible for two providers to work together and share staff.  We asked Vorys for a contract template that you can use when considering these staff sharing arrangements.  Please see the attached document.

I would like to reinforce Suzanne Scrutton’s statement you will see below.  This template is a starting point for you and you should still consult your own legal counsel as you enter into these types of agreements.

“Dear OPRA members:

We asked our counsel at Vorys to draft a template that members can use if they wish in order to share staff.  Attached you will find that draft template.  Please note that this agreement is here as a starting point.  You will need to customize it to address your particular employee sharing arrangement.   Along those lines, while the Vorys firm has provided this draft to OPRA for members to use, you will want to consult your own legal counsel to review the document given your particular situation.  We hope you find this template helpful as you deal with the changing landscape in which we are all working.”

                                                            -Suzanne Scrutton, Vorys

Thank you for your time.  If you have any questions, please let us know.

Pete
