DODD Prepares for COVID-19

The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) is sensitive and aware of the challenges all of you are facing in light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic flu. All intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities should be comfortable taking precautions they feel are necessary to ensure the health and safety of people with disabilities and staff in those facilities.

This could include things such as limiting or restricting visitors, restricting individual community engagement, and screening staff in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines.

DODD is working closely with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) on these issues. The department understands this is a fluid and evolving situation and will inform you of any changes as staff become aware.

If you have questions or would like additional information and resources, please use the ODH call center to get answers to specific questions regarding COVID-19 at 1-833-4-ASK-ODH (1-833-427-5634) or coronavirus.ohio.gov.

DODD has a dedicated web page to archive department communications and resources, as well as links to ODH resources.
