Hello Everyone,
I hope you are well.
There are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Ohio at this point.
Attached is a communication from the Ohio Department of Health. There is a website and phone number provided if any of you have questions.
The following are some other notes offered by DODD for you to consider:
·
Check to see if the chemicals you use can kill the coronavirus
·
Consider having up to a 14-day supply of food
·
Encourage thorough handwashing and conduct handwashing training
·
Ensure routine and thorough cleaning on all shifts
·
Connect with your local health departments
·
Participate in table top emergency preparedness discussions if they are held in your area
·
Thoroughly screen all new admissions
·
Closely and routinely monitor those who have conditions that compromise their immune system
·
Discuss your visitor policies (for example: use one room for visitors and thoroughly clean it when the visit concludes)
·
Consider local collaborative discussions with your local providers, the County Board and local health officials in an effort to plan for emergency scenarios (staffing or supply shortages, communication strategies, policies and
procedures your local hospitals are implementing, etc.)
We will continue to provide information as we get it. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Thank you for your time.
Pete
