CLI is 100% cell phone based.  All staff get a company smart phone.  Cost per month from Verizon for non-profits is $50-- unlimited data & pooled minutes.  Mobile hotspot is additional $10/month.  Typically iphone 8 or samsung 9 is free with a one year contract.  We don't upgrade every line every year so that we can replace broken phones as needed without charging staff.  If it became a problem, we would make staff responsible for supplying replacement phones that were not damaged at work.

This is an expensive benefit per month/per year, but only about $.30 per hour worked if you look at it that way.  It has also saved us on the number of PCs we'd otherwise need and helps with ensuring regular communication.  CLI is 100% google based, so having encrypted phones that are portals to online records is an easy fix to immediately correct possible HIPPA events.  It also helps professionalize the DSP position by giving them an expensive and professional work tool & direct line & direct email that they can access from this device.

Which carrier and devices do companies use who have given company cell phones to their staff? Can you find heavily discounted cell phones anywhere? Do you give them to all staff? Also, what policies do you have around these devices if they are lost or damaged by staff?
