Members,

The Ohio Department of Medicaid and Sandata are offering some in-person “refresher” courses on how to get started using the state-provided Sandata system. These trainings are meant for providers who have already completed the Sandata training and may need some additional hands-on assistance with getting started. See the below email from the Ohio Department of Medicaid for additional details on the class and how to register.

If you are using the state-provided Sandata system for EVV and are still struggling, I HIGHLY encourage you to send a representative to one of these trainings.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

Have a great day,

Christine

Dear Provider,

Since the Phase 2 Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) program effective date of August 5, 2019, many providers have reached out to ODM and the EVV Provider Hotline who would like a refresher on how to use the Sandata EVV system. Due to the large number of requests from providers to review key steps in setting up the Sandata EVV system, ODM is offering hands-on refresher training classes during the last two weeks in August.

Additional Refresher Training Classes for Agency and Non-Agency Providers

ODM is offering instructor-led, hands-on refresher training classes in several cities across Ohio. These classes are open to both Agency and Non-Agency providers. Only providers who have already completed the required EVV training on the Sandata system should take these classes. They provide some additional practice and review of how to get started in EVV and how to maintain your EVV visits in the Sandata EVV system.

The refresher training classes will include these topics:

Where you find your login credentials to the Sandata system

Logging into the Sandata EVV system for the first time

         Setting up clients

Setting up users (for Agency providers)

Setting up employees (for Agency providers)

How to log visits using the Sandata Mobile Connect application, telephony, or manual visit creation

Maintaining visits in the EVV portal

Here is the link to register for training: https://www.sandatalearn.com?KeyName=ODMP2Refresher

After logging in to the Sandata Learn platform, click on either the “Catalog” or “My Courses” button on the dashboard. Find the “ODM-EVV Phase 2 Refresher Classroom Training”. Click view. Select the day and time you would like to attend.

These refresher classes are only for providers who have already completed the full EVV training and have received their EVV training certificate.

Please note that questions regarding the EVV program (evv@medicaid.ohio.gov) or EVV policy (evvpolicy@medicaid.ohio.gov) should be directed to the appropriate mailbox and are not appropriate for these classes.

Unlimited Opportunities for Online Training

In addition, providers can access the following training opportunities through the Training Tab (https://medicaid.ohio.gov/INITIATIVES/Electronic-Visit-Verification/Training) on the EVV webpage.
