The regulation can be found in 5123:2-3-04(G)(3)(4) under Licensed
facilities. It is not a new rule.
Inventories are done within 14 days of admission and then updated annually.
This is for clothing and personal items.
Once an admission inventory is done if the individual is assessed not to need assistance with managing their clothing/personal items you can have this identified in the ISP and then not need to do the annual inventory.
Each year the individual will need to be reassessed to determine if an inventory is needed.
Our agency still does maintain an ongoing inventory of items that cost $50.00 or more just so we have documentation with serial number, brand name etc. in the event the item were to come up missing. Hope this helps.

Subject: Member Question - Inventories
One of our SSAs asked for an inventory of a particular individuals items – is this a new rule or is this unique to our county? The SSA said that it needs to be included with the ISP and if that is indeed true, where in rule does it say
this?
