Happy Friday,
Providing some follow-up information regarding EVV training and alternate vendors. Remember, EVV currently only applies to
billed 15-minute unit HPC and waiver nursing services.
If you are using the Sandata system provided by the Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM), you need to take the Sandata training before you can request devices and use the Sandata system. There are three training options- webinar, in-person,
and self-paced web modules. You can find information on the training options
here. You need to register for training with your
Medicaid ID number. If you aren’t sure where to find that, you can click
here for instructions.
If you are planning on using an alternate vendor, you do not have to take the above training. Instead, you have to complete a self-paced web-training which you can take
here. As a provider, you need to get certified by ODM and Sandata to use an alternate vendor. You can find more information more about the process of certification
here.
