During the Spring Conference, some of our colleagues from the Vorys Law Firm presented on fraud and abuse in our system and audits the Auditor of State is conducting. We heard from many attendees in that session that you would like some follow up information. Responding to Medicaid Audits – What Providers Need to Know
 
“This webinar will address the current environment of increasing provider oversight, focusing particularly on the recent trend of Auditor of State audits targeting Medicaid providers of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and other specialty service providers. We will provide a detailed overview of the audit process so providers can better understand how to respond to an inquiry into its documentation and billing practices. Throughout the discussion, we will highlight best practices for providers to consider throughout the audit life cycle, beginning with a discussion of how to respond to a request for records, and concluding with an analysis of strategies for disputing a formal demand for repayment.”
