Anita,
Here is the response from the group. Thanks.
Q&A related posted questions regarding B2E Survey (technical assistance)
The Bridge2Equality was formed specifically to bring light and awareness to the staffing crisis in Ohio and to deliver this critical message specifically to our state legislators. We believe
accurate data reflecting provider increasing expenses and staff utilization will send a strong message in budget hearings.
Technical Assistance – Q&A for the B2E Survey:
“We need to know if they want waiver info only...the HPC hours would indicate as such but we have staff that works in both ICF and Waiver in the same pay period.”
Answer: Yes, we want to collect “direct care hours” (HPC/ICF/ADS) for all services rendered in the same pay period.
“Separating OSOC over-time from other hours is a bit difficult so we need to know if we can provide an average or close estimate.”
Answer: Please enter “regular hours” and “overtime hours” regardless of the classification if it was HPC or OSOC hours.
Again, just make sure we collect all hours worked and overtime worked by an employee in the same pay period.
“Are we to include all DSPs in all settings (i.e. ICF, ICF and waiver group homes, day programs, school)?” Answer:
Please enter “regular hours” and “overtime hours” regardless of the classification if it was HPC or OSOC hours. Again, just make sure we collect all hours worked and overtime worked by an employee in the same pay period.
“Do we also include the positions that are related to DSP (i.e. Activities Assistants, Teaches Aide) which are rated the same but work with varied functioning populations?
Answer: Yes, include all direct service hours that are connected to service delivery to individuals with DD. Please make sure all hours are reflected for each employee in the same pay period.
