Margaret...we are self-insured at ResCare as well. We don't test after any work related injury. For motor vehicle accidents, we test if the employee was at fault for the accident or if there were injuries as a result of the accident. We do not do random testing, only reasonable suspicion.

Hi Everyone,
We currently are self-insured for workers comp so haven't had to do the
drug free workplace program under BWC but are thinking of starting to
test for injuries. The safety committee also urged us to test after
each vehicle incident - even fender benders. We currently test using
the regs for non-medical transportation.
I was wondering how many folks do drug testing after each work related
injury that requires treatment? Also do you test after each vehicle
accident too? Does anyone do random drug testing for all staff?
Thanks for your help.
