Just a note to say thanks for attending and participating in an unusual but hopefully insightful retreat.

The format was designed to give all of us a comprehensive understanding of our trade association and expose all to its complex relationships and venders.  As a Board, we have a responsibility to understand, evaluate and make recommendations when required.  It is our duty to understand everything about the non-profit we provide oversight to.

Of course the format was for us, but it was also for Jeff.  In fact, I had him in mind when designing it.   As interim or now officially President and CEO, I wanted to expose him to all of Opra’s complexities.  Some he knew, a lot he didn’t as he didn’t have to in his previous position.

So I know it was long and overwhelming at times (I’m literally exhausted:), but hopefully you agree it was necessary under the circumstances.

I’m really proud of OPRA, it’s Staff and Board and I’m looking forward to the future.
