On the services, I see Adult Day, ICF, and HPC listed. Are the career planning services also included? I'm thinking that the Adult day might include Career Planning with it, but I want to make sure. There should be a higher utilization of those services in the coming years too, so I want to make sure that those are included.

I'm not going to be able to make the call tomorrow, as the 50% workgroup is meeting at the same time, but I will support whichever way we decide on this. If I can step out at all, I will try to jump on.

Hello all:

In anticipation of tomorrow’s Board call please see attached 3 budget proposals prepared and costed out by Director Martin and DODD. These proposals are based in part on suggestions by system stakeholders. As you can see one proposal is based on the current competency based add-on that focuses on training and experience. Another proposal focuses on increasing the base rate without ties to training or experience. And the third is a hybrid of the two.

Assumptions for each proposal are listed. There are arguable merits and cautions to each and we hope to have that kind of candid conversation tomorrow.

Please keep in mind that this began as the Director’s attempt to assist the system in moving forward into the next administration and general assembly by gathering stakeholders together and helping them flesh out a budget proposal that they (DODD) can cost out and one that allows our system to get a head start on next year’s budget. In this vein this is a start to our collaborative conversations not a finish.

Ideally, whatever path is chosen is one that all or most stakeholders can get behind energetically and enthusiastically. To achieve a budget increase of this magnitude this must be a one of a kind grassroots effort involving all of our members to the extent they are willing and able.

We are right there with you all the way. I look forward to seeing what we can do together!!
