Like so many around our country, I sit up nights thinking about our DSP Workforce Crises.   What is the hook?  What is the path forward?  Why was I a DSP?  Why did I like it so much that I made a career out of it?

A month or so ago, my band was playing at a local tavern and as usual my couple of dedicated friends came to watch the show.  These folks happen to be individuals I had worked with 30 years ago, as their DSP.  We talked on break, caught up, gave some advice to help with some issues they were experiencing, had a beer together.  I sang their favorite songs, we danced.  Then it hit me.

This is for LIFE.  Friendships, companionships, listening, living, coaching.

I have a T-Shirt made for staff and the individuals we support every year.  Part promotional, Part agency unification, they expect and love them.  This is the back of our 2018 T-shirt.

Not sure if the message will work, but it comes from real life experience.

Something to think about.
