Senate Bill 145 Mark Davis 13 Jun 2013 18:33 UTC

SB 145 has been introduced by Senators Burke and Cafaro today. It is a starting point for Medicaid reform and the extension of Medicaid coverage to low-wage workers. The bill has not been reviewed yet, so I don't have additional info on what's included. Given that the bill was introduced to start the process (get a bill number assigned, assign it to a committee, arrange for hearings next week), it may not reveal much detail on where we'll end up anyway. The final bill will need to balance reform and extension of coverage. We will continue to advocate that the bill be passed by June 30th.

Representatives Amstutz and Sykes are to introduce an identical bill in the house, possibly today also.

I'll keep everyone posted.
