An article in yesterday's Columbus Dispatch Business section indicated that Anthem will be much more scrutinizing of ER visits that do not have a Doctor's order. It does not ,at this time, impact Medicaid/Medicare recipients.
My concern is this may be coming 'under managed care' to Medicaid recipients??
This could negatively impact providers under current MUI rules that cause the provider to use ER's to ensure proper response in certain health and safety situations??
