DOL OT Legislation Introduced
Mark Davis 15 Jul 2016 05:40 UTC
ANCOR's legislation to mitigate the impact of the DOL OT rule implementation was introduced in the US House this afternoon (attached). The original sponsors are Rep. Tonko (D) NY and our very own Rep. Stivers (R) OH. This bill faces an uphill path. We will need to encourage all of our members' staff to have their voice heard on this issue. We will disseminate the plan and materials to our members over the next few weeks.
The legislation includes a "pay for" that calls for states to require electronic visit verification (EVV) or they'll lose a small percentage of FMAP. Should this pass, we'll work closely with our state, county and other partners on the state's EVV implementation and to get funding for providers to implement and maintain.
Please consider joining us in DC on September 19 - 21 for the ANCOR Leadership Summit and OPRA Hill visits.
Thanks.
