Good morning.  Sarah Schmidt, Senator Portman's Health Policy Advisor, has agreed to have a conversation with leaders in the DD field from Ohio.  We've set the conversation for next Tuesday, April 5th, at 12:40 - 2pm - during lunch at the conference.  This is an excellent opportunity for us to hear about Senator Portman's health and human services agenda and to present our perspective on what the federal government could be doing to help us and the people we serve.  She will be joining us by phone from DC and is the senator's chief advisor on all things Medicaid and health-related.  Sarah is well respected by other senators' staff as well.

Please let me know at mdavis@opra.org<mailto:mdavis@opra.org>, if you are able to participate.  We need to have 20 - 30 people participating to have the kind of impact we want.  We will meet at 12:40, get lunch from the buffet, go to our room to eat and then talk with Sarah.  Added bonus - to ensure our availability for this conversation, participants will be the first in line at the buffet :)
