FW: Article from the Urbana Citizen dated 1905 of the 100 year celebration of the Johnson farm Than Johnson 24 Dec 2014 17:10 UTC
A friend of the Johnson family of Mingo[my ancestors] located this newspaper article from the archives recently.
I realize most feel that I was on the farm when it was founded by Jacob Johnson, but actually I came into being nearly a century and a half later.
We celebrated our 200th year on the farm in July of 2005 with the reading of a Ohio Senate Resolution given to us by then State Senator Jim Jordan[now US Rep].
My father[Philip] still farms part of the original farm at the young age of 93 and it includes the Maple Syrup Shed that we still operate after more than 150 years.
Happy Holidays to all.
Proud to be a Buckeye.

I knew of the gathering and most of the people but do not think I had a copy of the article. I am indebted to Max and Janice Coates for sending it to me.

Note the article in column 5.
