I am following up regarding the statewide residential services plan.  I talked with Sara Lawson, DODD yesterday afternoon and shared my concerns that the project, didn't seem like it was organized to the point where I could be easily understood.  I also shared my concern about being respectful of your time as we anticipate this situation will be more challenging in the next few weeks.  Sara was very understanding and agreed with my points.

Sara also shared that they had a productive meeting with OACB about the role of the County Boards.  DODD will be sharing a list of local County Board Coronavirus contacts who will be a resource for providers.

I think many of you like I, walked away from the call yesterday with the feeling that you would have to be a regional resource....a person that other providers can call when they have an issue and then you would try to address that issue or forward them to the Department.   Sara agreed that this would be very difficult while dealing with your own facilities.

DODD is working on new guidance and you can still represent your region and they may reach out to you to get a feel for how things are going in your community, county and region and you can also reach out the DODD "strike" team with issues and concerns you are seeing and hearing about. Involve you on statewide strike team calls for your region to ensure communication is funneling to the associations and providers.

We will continue to keep you posted as this idea/project evolves.

Hello.

I hope you are well.

First of all, I would like to thank you, for those of you who could, for taking time to be on the call with the DODD.

My main take away from the call is there is a lot more information needed and clear communication strategies need to be established.  As I said at the Board meeting last week when this group was discussed, OPRA will support you and be the lead for communication with this.  I think the main thing is to help each other identify where the problems are and get the "strike force" involved as needed.

We are also working with OACB on a plan on how County Boards support providers locally and provide needs, we must coordinate the efforts of these two groups.  I will touch base with GInnie on this.

I would like to hear your concerns and thoughts.
