Statewide Plan Outline
1. CB’s develop a disaster plan and submit to DODD by 4/1. What buildings can be used? CB building or maybe Day Services (good rational to pay them). How will SSA’s be used?
2. CB’s recruit local provider pool. Perhaps each provider can initially promise a # of DSP’s to work once the activation of the center receives sick clients. Day staff can be used now to get the buildings ready (supplies, beds, etc.). Hazard pay to entice DSPs.
3. Dodd and CB’s put the word out now for nurses to help oversee the care. Perhaps retired MD’s.
4. Get blessing for all of this from the department of health. What role can they play?
5. Who will run the centers? Organize workforce? How will the flow of sick come through the centers? (All of this must be thought out).
DODD will start organizing communication by region. They will develop regional contacts by taking OPRA, OHCA, Superintendents, County Boards, etc.) and developing a communication plan.
