The Ohio Senate Finance Committee held what is considered to be their final hearings on the State Budget. We want to thank Trish Otter, Megan Nachtway and Tony Thomas for their travel from Cleveland to present testimony in front of their State Senator Dolan who serves as Committee Chair. Their testimony was well received. We acted as a panel to answer any lingering questions by the Senators.
The testimony was highly supportive of the DODD budget requests.
We now observe budget process as the Senate deliberates over various spending items for their state budget proposal. They will also consider revenue projections and possibly a targeted tax cut.
The expectation is the Senate will vote on a budget next week.
A special thanks to all those OPRA members who provided budget testimony.
We know that Directors Davis and Miller are appreciative.
