Hi everyone,

We are off and ready to start our Leadership training and as of this date we have 27 signed up with a new maximum of 30 participants.  Training starts May 22nd.  If you remember, I had asked that each Board member (and some “tenured” leaders in our industry..Gary) to be assigned to a participant and act as a Coach.  Coaching is not a huge commitment and you are free to be as active as you like.  All I ask is that you reach out to the participant that is assigned to you either by phone or email and welcome them to the program.  In addition, talk with them about 1 leadership goal they would like to have over the next year (what would they like to learn more about, what area of leadership do they want to be better at, etc.).   Through your contact over the year (2 or 3 times over the course of the year), you will encourage them to attain this goal.  Also throughout the year, ask them what they are learning, giving them an opportunity to tell you about the material we are covering.

Most of this contact will be done by email or phone and I don’t expect you to meet them in person, however, if you can work it out that you do, even better.
