ADVANCE 101:

Provider Leadership Training 2015-2016

The first class will begin on September 17, 2015 from 10am - 2pm in the OPRA Training Center.

Future or current leaders this is your program for you and your organization to invest in you and them! This is a year-long intensive training set to begin September 2015 and to conclude in September of 2016. Participants meet every other month at the OPRA office in Columbus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch can be provided with advance notice at a cost of $10, to be collected the day-of. One (1) excused absence is permitted for the duration of the program participants complete the assigned readings and materials prior to each meeting. For provider organizations that are OPRA Members, one (1) individual from that organization may attend for the nominal cost of program materials and administrative fees. Additional attendees from that organization may participate at a tuition rate of $399.00, plus materials and fees. For non-members, any attendee may participate at a tuition rate of $599.00, plus materials and fees.

CEUs

This program will offer continuing education units (CEUs) form Ohio’s Department of Developmental Disabilities and Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board. CEU approval pending.

*Each participant must purchase Strength Based Leadership on their own. Complete the assessment and send results to Jamie Steele prior to the September 2015 meeting. All other books will be purchased by OPRA, handed out and billed to your agency.

*Each participant will be assigned a coach that will follow them throughout the year. Each coach has successfully graduated through the Advance Program and have read the material.

*Participants will placed into several groups. The groups will work on a leadership assignment throughout the year.
