Helping Families Make Informed Choices

DODD now is posting provider compliance reports on the Department's website. Making this information readily available to individuals and their families will help them to make well-informed choices about who provides services for them, and was requested by DODD in the state's Mid-Biennium Review bill.

Strategic Planning Leadership Group Sharpens Focus

The SPLG met September 9 to identify specific recommendations and benchmarks to move the system forward over the next ten years. Areas discussed included employment, host homes/shared living options, nursing services in waivers, and wages for Direct Support Professionals.

Office of Health Transformation - Home Care News

On September 10, the Ohio Department of Medicaid announced it had surpassed the spending target for directing half of all Medicaid long-term care funding to home-and community-based alternatives to higher-cost nursing home settings. DODD traveled to Findlay to award an SFSC grant to the Family Resource Center of Northwest Ohio, Inc., in partnership with other agencies in Allen, Auglaize, Hancock, Hardin, Putnam, and Van Wert counties.
